Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease and flour four ramekins.
  2. Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined. Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth.
  4. Add Flour and Salt: Gently fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined.
  5. Pour Batter into Ramekins: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  6. Bake: Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center remains soft.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the cakes cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate and let it sit for a few seconds before lifting off.
  8. Enjoy: Serve immediately, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Indulge in this rich and gooey dessert that is sure to impress your family and friends!
